More Foothills jobs will be lost in the restructuring of La-Z-Boy furniture, now reporting of job losses at a Caldwell plant. Kincaid Furniture Co. Inc., owned by La-Z-Boy, reported Monday that it is ending manufacturing at a plant in Hudson, with 100 jobs to be eliminated as part of converting the facility to a finishing, repair and distribution center. The company filed a WARN or Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification  Act notice with the N.C. Commerce Department saying in its filing that it expects to cease manufacturing production between June 27 and July 10, which will start the process of eliminating jobs. It expects to complete the job cuts between Oct. 31 and Nov. 12. Earlier, La-Z-Boy Inc. said April 17 it was closing two North Wilkesboro warehouse facilities by the end of the year as part of a major restructuring that also includes ending domestic production of wooden furniture.
