On March 6th, the Market Basket convenience store on the Grace Chapel Rd in Granite Falls was robbed by a white male dressed in a gray sweatshirt, black pants with a bandanna over the bottom half of his face and a toboggan on his head. The suspect walked into the store, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money. The man fled on foot after the robbery. At this point, no leads have developed except that  the same suspect is believed to have committed a similar robbery in Catawba County a couple of weeks later. The photo posted on the story shows a person of interest in the case, the man wearing a flat bill Pittsburgh Pirates hat. If you know the identity of the person in the photo please call the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office at 828-759-1526, or Crime Stoppers at 828-758-8300. You may be eligible for a cash reward and you can remain anonymous.
