|2 Arrested After Month-Long Investigation|

Two people are behind bars in Wilkes County after a month long investigation with Wilkes County Authorities. On Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, the Wilkesboro Police Department SWAT team
served two high risk search warrants on 108 East Henderson Drive and adjoining properties in Wilkesboro.
During the search 26 items were seized which included over 2 grams of crack cocaine, over 470 grams of marijuana, oxycodone pills and other prescription drugs, 2 glass pipes, items for the sale and purchase of narcotics, documents, a set of digital scales, and over $5,000 in cash. Authorities then arrested Jason Eric Ferguson, 35, of the residence, and Samantha Amber Nicholson, 22, of 204 Peace Street in North Wilkesboro.
Ferguson was charged with the Manufacturing of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sale and Distribute Marijuana, and Possession with Intent to Sale and Distribute Marijuana within 1,000 feet of a Park. Nicholson was charged with Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Sale and Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Substance.
The warrants were a result of investigative efforts of narcotics officers with the Wilkesboro Police Department, North Wilkesboro Police Department, Ashe County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. The Ashe County Sheriff’s Office also provided entry assistance. All items have been placed in the Wilkesboro Police Departments evidence control system pending final court disposition. According to Wilkesboro Chief Robert Bowlin, the investigation is still ongoing other persons and locations of interest.
