Trio Charged in Rash of Break-Ins PDF Print

Caldwell Sheriff Alan C. Jones and Hudson Police Chief Andy Day announced a joint investigation of the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and the Hudson Police has led to the arrest of three suspects they say were responsible for numerous thefts in the areas of Hudson and Sawmills.  The trio primarily targeted lawn and gardening equipment during the theft spree, but the three week joint investigation has yielded recovery of numerous items of stolen property and more recoveries are expected, according to the release. The three included Matthew Robert Outlaw, 34, charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Felony Larceny, Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicle, and Obtaining Property by False Pretense, held under $75,000 bond. Chassity Nicole Hopkins, 19, has been charged with 3 counts of Obtaining Property by false Pretense, Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny, Misdemeanor Larceny, and 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, her bond $35,000. Cody Edward Church, 25, has been charged with Breaking and Entering to place of Worship, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Injury to Property, his bond $50,000.
