Grinch Steals Halloween at Doc's Gem Mine PDF Print

It appears the Grinch may have tried to steal Halloween this year, and High Country Crime Stoppers and the Watauga County Sheriff's Office is seeking public assistance in solving the spooky crime. It occurred at Doc’s Gem Mine at 129 Mystery Hill Lane, in Blowing Rock on Sunday, October 27th around 11:10 PM.  Taken were about  $1500 in goods, including:
3    New life size skeletons ($100 each)
1    Large air inflatable pumpkin and ghost lawn decoration
1    Lighted oversize skull decoration.
1    Animated caged skeleton
4    Halloween figures on guide poles
2    Lawn mower gas cans
1    Professional grade DJ Bubble Blower
Costume decorations for skeletons
Tools from shop tool box (Socket sets, wrenches and screwdrivers)
Radar detector
The suspects were driving dark colored Toyota 4 Runner. Video still are posted on Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959 / 828-737-0125 or the Watauga County Sheriff's Office at 828-264-3761.  All information will be kept confidential. High Country Crime Stoppers pays rewards for information, which leads to arrests; recovery of stolen property; seizure of drugs and the location of wanted persons.
