It was a big day for the Watauga High girl's tennis team. The Pioneers produced four regional qualifiers on the opening day of the Northwestern Conference at Hickory High School. Watauga JV Volleyball defeated Ashe 25-9, 25-18

Jadyn Kadyk defeated Lee Kania of Freedom 6-0,6-0
Amira Younce defeated Caeley Arney of Alexander Central 6-3,6-0

Alaina Muse and Magali Turner defeated Burnett and Succop of Freedom 6-0,6-1
Jillian Russert and Madison Ogden lost to Freedom’s Vandergriff and Crooks(number 1 seed for doubles) 4-6, 1-6.

All of WHS' entries have made the semifinals, and they've also automatically qualified for regionals next Friday, October 18 at St Stephens High School in Hickory.
