The doubles team of Jadyn Kadyk and Brianna Davidson of the Watauga High girl's tennis team won the Northwestern 3A Conference championship Wednesday afternoon at Alexander Central. Click on the link below for more sports information....

Briana Davidson and Jadyn Kadyk took first place in the NW Conference Doubles by defeating their own team mates Katie Mac Knight and Carolina Davidson 6-1, 6-0. Knight and Davidson advanced to the finals by defeating the number two seed from Alexander Central 6--0, 7-5. 
 
Davidson and Kadyk advanced by defeating Hickory's team 6-0, 6-0.  All four doubles teams will advance to next week's individual regionals held at St. Stephens High School. 
 
Hickory High's Destyne Wimbush played her team mate Dawson Clifford in the singles finals.  Wimbush defeated Lucy Gray of Watauga in one semifinal, while Clifford defeated Magali Turner of Watauga in the other semifinal  All four singles will compete in the Regional tournament on October 20th next weekend.
