Jean Miller Beach, age 79, of Russell Beach Road, Vilas, passed away Monday morning, April 16, 2018, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

Jean was born April 28, 1938 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Henry and Allie Jones Miller.

Jean is survived by her husband, Danny Beach of the home; one son, David Perry of Vilas; four daughters, Elizabeth Smith and husband Ron, and Elaine Shook and husband Phillip, all of Morganton, Susan Dotson and husband Phil of Boone, and Donna Perry and husband Bob Phillips of Vilas; two brothers, Lloyd Miller and wife Josephine of Boone, and Ernest Miller and wife Darlene of Vilas, and two sisters, Margaret Miller of Boone, and Luna Faye Auton and husband Richard of Newton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Ann Perry; two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services for Jean Miller Beach will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, April 18, 2018, at 2:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock. Burial will follow in Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will received friends Wednesday afternoon, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
