Orchard at Altapass Wrapping up the 2022 Season
The Orchard at Altapass shuts the red barn door and silences the music for another year on October 30—the last day of its 2022 season.
October kicks off with Appalachian folk singer-songwriter Ash Devine on Saturday the 1st. Next up on Sunday is another Asheville band—The Scatterlings. Then it’s onto bluegrass with Never Too Late and Highland Highlights with smattering of old-timey tunes coming the next weekend on the 8th and 9th. The Dollar Brothers signal midmonth with a bluegrass appearance on the 15th, and we’ll all rewind to the good times with Rewind Goodtimz on the 16th. Music on the 22nd features Slight Departure. And duo Seth and Sara step up on the 23rd. Both return musicians, both individual styles. Both always performing to a cacophony of applause. We round out the music at the Orchard for 2022 with Homegrown on the 29th. Sam McKinney takes us out on the 30th. All performances are in the pavilion from 3-4:30 and always free; dancing encouraged. And don’t forget the final four music jams at the Orchard are on Thursdays from 1 to 3:30. Always free.
