More new COVID-19 cases reported across the High Country.

The Toe River Health District reported Monday no additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Yancey County, one new confirmed case in Mitchell, and three new cases in Avery. Mitchell's total is now 36 positive cases, 21 have recovered and 15 are active. Avery has reached 14 total cases, 5 have recovered and 9 active. Yancey County at 42 positive cases, 35 have recovered and 7 are active. The Mitchell case is related to previous cases connected by a group activity.

AppHealthCare on Monday reports a total of 65 total confirmed cases in Watauga, with 27 active cases, Ashe has reached 51 total cases, with 9 active, and Alleghany at 31 total cases, only one of which is currently active. AppHealthCare is currently monitoring 75 individuals in Watauga, 25 in Ashe, and 3 in Alleghany.
