There more information about Monday’s arrest of a man wanted in Ashe County.

The Ashe Post and Times reports reports Lindsay Edwin Milam, 55, of 504 Moretz Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, was arrested after a foot chase near Deep Gap on Monday.

According to the report, Ashe Sgt. James McNeill responded to a break-in to a motor vehicle and a larceny within the vehicle at an address in Fleetwood around 5:30 Monday. Milam fled into Watauga County before McNeill arrived.

According to the Watauga County Sheriff's Department, Watauga deputies located Milam off Highway 221 near Deep Gap, and after a foot chase, apprehended Milam and during a search, discovered he was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a large quantity of prescription pills.

Milam has been charged by the Watauga Sheriff's Department with resisting an officer, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.

According to the report, Milam is charged by the Ashe Sheriff's Department with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and two counts of misdemeanor larceny.
