Appalachian State has been chosen to launch the Worldwatch Institute’s 2017 EarthEd State of the World report Thursday.

How do educators prepare the world’s population for the predicted collateral damage of climate change over the course of this century: emerging diseases, food shortages, drought and waterlogged cities?

Find out at the launch of the Worldwatch Institute’s 2017 State of the World report, “Rethinking Education on a Changing Planet,” hosted by Appalachian State University.

“Rethinking Education on a Changing Planet,” is a full-day event, consisting of short, TED-style talks and panel discussions, and is open to the public at the Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts on Rivers Street Thursday, April 20, from 9 a.m.- 4.p.m.
