Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce Announces Bistro Roca Fire Fund Surpasses $100,000
Blowing Rock, NC — The Blowing Rock community has come together in an extraordinary way following the recent fire at Bistro Roca, raising more than $100,000 to support the restaurant's nearly 75 employees who were impacted.
The Bistro Roca Fire Fund, established by the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce, was created to provide direct assistance to the restaurant's staff during this difficult and uncertain time. In just three days, donations poured in from residents, visitors, local businesses, and supporters from across the region — a powerful testament to the deep connection the community has to Bistro Roca Family.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion shown by our community,” said Robin Miller, President & CEO of the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce. “Reaching this milestone reflects how deeply people care not only about Bistro Roca as a legendary gathering place, but about the people who make it special.”
100% of all funds raised will be distributed directly to affected employees while the restaurant works toward recovery. The Blowing Rock Chamber is donating all processing fees associated with donations.
“This has never been just about a building,” Miller added. “It's about people — neighbors, friends, and workers who have served this community for years. Blowing Rock showed up in a big way, and that support matters more than we can put into words.”
Donations are still being accepted. Visit LoveBlowingRock.com for more information. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.
The mission of the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce is to promote, protect, and improve business through the cultural, social, and economic development, growth, and sustainability of Blowing Rock—while preserving the charm and character of the village.
