App State celebrates installation of Chancellor Heather H. Norris

Dr. Heather Norris was formally installed Friday as the eighth chancellor of Appalachian State University in a ceremony at Holmes Convocation Center. UNC System President Peter Hans presided over the installation, which formally recognizes and celebrates the beginning of Norris' leadership tenure.
Norris assumed her role as chancellor March 1st after being elected by the UNC System Board of Governors. Hundreds attended the ceremony including App State students, staff, faculty, alumni, university leaders, visiting chancellors, UNC System delegates, and Norris' family.
