It's Girl Scout Cookie time again.

High Country Press reports 2,010 cases of Girl Scout Cookies will be delivered to the Family Life Center of Boone United Methodist Church in Boone on Friday.

Cookie sales benefit the girls by teaching them important life-long skills, such as what it means to be successful, how to work as a team, utilize the proceeds for special events, trips and more.

All proceeds support Girl Scouting in the local community, providing an opportunity for girls to earn money for badges, service events, recognition and the potential for scholarships, as well as help the troops with summer camp, exploring science and math, traveling to various destinations and learning about future careers.

Thin Mints, Caramel deLights, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbread, Thanks-A-Lot, S’mores, Lemonades, are available at $4 a box, and gluten- free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies are $5 a box.

Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at booths across the High Country, and a full list of locations can be found online at GirlScouts.org, and click on cookies.
