The Deep Gap Ruritan Club is now providing “Little Free Libraries” to the community.

High Country Press reports Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization that has grown into one of the world’s largest book-sharing movements.

According to the report, the project works on the premise that each time a book is taken from a little library, it is replaced with another book by the reader or from another source, such as the Watauga County Public Library.

There are currently two little libraries in Deep Gap -- one at the Deep Gap Post Office and one at de la Cruz Farms.

The Ruritan Club is also working on the placement of a third library.
