The 32nd Annual Christmas in July Festival in downtown West Jefferson takes place Friday and Saturday.

The festival began as a way to promote the local Christmas Tree Industry, and has blown up into a huge event.

Christmas in July features Christmas crafts, a tree baling competition, and a chance to visit with Santa Claus.

You can also do some early Christmas shopping, and listen to live local music from Crooked Road Ramblers, Wayne Henderson and Friends, ClayBank, Amantha Mill, Cane Mill Road, Lucky strikes and more.

Also enjoy traditional dances like flat footing and clogging, eat festival food, or grab something fresh from the farmers market.
