The latest installment of the Virginia Tech University video series Save Our Towns focuses on the Town of Boone’s efforts to go Green.

The episode covers the town’s plan to wean itself off fossil fuels by 2050 and why the energy-saving blueprint is doable.

The video also features three towns gathering steam in terms of economic prosperity, and also features a segment on the Appalachian Regional Commission’s track record of fighting poverty in the area.
