Foscoe Grandfather Community Center and Park will hold the first country breakfast fundraiser for the season on Saturday, May 14 from 7:30 to 10 am. A delicious full breakfast will be available for either dine-in or carry out. The Community Center is located at 233 Park Road in Foscoe (just behind the Grandfather Trout Pond). The suggested donation is $10 per person with all proceeds going to fund and support the community park and facilities.
The Shawneehaw Volunteer Fire Dept will have the annual Bar-B-Q on Saturday June 4th at 5PM at the fire department located at 171 Rominger Road. Adults are $10 and Kids 12 and under are $5
The Watauga County Farmers’ Market provides locally made and produced food, art, music and crafts every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm, at the Horn in the West parking lot in Boone. In addition to the carefully selected group of professional vendors, there are food trucks, a kids corner, live music and cooking demonstrations.
