Have you ever wanted to try snowshoeing, or you like snowshoeing but do not have a pair? Well, this is your chance.  Join Ranger Sicard for a snowshoe hike that will begin at the Boone Fork Parking Lot (milepost 299.9 on the Blue Ridge Parkway).

The Caldwell Arts Council will present a two-month exhibit featuring “Caldwell Stories” drawings, paintings & stories of Caldwell County residents by Durham artist Debra Wuliger (www.debrawuliger.com) and “For the Love of Art” featuring colorful abstract art by Brevard NC artist C. Shana Greger (www.shanagreger.com) and the late Philip Broyhill.

The Blowing Rock Art & History Museum has announced that it will be hosting Mini Matinees, a new family friendly music and theatre series, one Sunday a month, January through March. 

The week we now call “I Have a Dream Week” began 23 years ago, when a group of concerned residents in our community organized a silent protest of a Ku Klux Klan rally in Boone and Blowing Rock.  That group grew into the I Have a Dream Task Force.

The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its January Business After Hours on the 28th at the LaQuinta Inn.
