Beginning February 5, Wilkes Community College will offer an amateur radio course.

Area high school seniors whose parents are telephone service subscribers of SkyLine Membership Corporation and SkyBest Communications may apply for national scholarships available through Foundation for Rural Service (FRS).

The Walker Center presents the family show Dr. Seuss’s “The Cat in the Hat” on February 2, 2018, at 7 p.m. The National Theatre's adaptation of “The Cat in the Hat” is a lively and engaging performance by adults for young children. Not a word has been changed or added to Dr. Seuss’s classic, ensuring that anyone who’s read the story will find themselves transported into the world they’ve always imagined. 

The next Watauga Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition meeting will take place Tuesday, January 23rd, at Watauga High School (room TBD) from 10:00-11:30 AM.
