From 12–3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15 and 12–2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, New Opportunity School for Women (NOSW) Founder Jane Stephenson and Lees-McRae College professor Michael Joslin invite the High Country community to a joint book reading and signing in King-Shivell Gallery in the Cannon Student Center.

The 2019-20 season of “The Schaefer Center Presents…” performing arts series, presented by Appalachian State University’s Office of Arts and Cultural Programs from late September through early April, offers students, faculty, staff and the community a diverse array of music, theatre
and dance designed to enrich the cultural landscape of the campus and surrounding area.

The Mountain Thread Company and Shops of the Martin House host the Made Here Market next Saturday, September 21st from 10-3pm in downtown Blowing Rock.

The Concerts in the Courtyard at the Tanger Outlets of Blowing Rock continues this Saturday, September 14th.

September 14 brings scouts, sashes and badges to Grandfather Mountain. This will be the 49th year that Girl Scout Day is celebrated at the Linville, N.C., nature park.
