Blue Ridge Energy provided opportunities for seven college students to work in internship positions this summer in offices across their system.

Executive Director Tina Krause, along with the Hospitality House Board of Directors will be hosting its annual Hope Luncheon on Friday, August 18 in the heart of the High Country at Blue Ridge Mountain Club, where the Blue Ridge Mountains meet the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Watauga County Fair returns to the High Country Fairgrounds this month.

The Red Cross is still urging people to donate blood and platelets to address an ongoing  critical summer blood shortage. Eligible donors of all types are urgently needed.
