As restrictions have continued to ease, Local Lion and the Paul H. Broyhill Wellness Center have partnered together to put on a 5k for the High Country community, and to sponsor the Blue Ridge Conservancy.

The Hope For the Future 5k will be this Saturday June 5, starting at 8 am at the Broyhill Wellness Center.

One hundred percent of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Blue Ridge Conservancy, a private, non-profit, non-governmental organization that has protected over 20,000 acres in Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey Counties.
