The Blue Ridge Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society will hold a native plant sale this Saturday, May 22, at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens, at 651 Horn in the West Drive, Boone.

The sale runs 8 am to 12 noon.

At least 80 different varieties of perennials, ferns, grasses, sedges, trees and shrubs native to this region and well suited to the local growing conditions will be offered at the sale.

Some rare species will be available.

Most perennials will be sold in $5.00 quart and $10.00 gallon containers. Trees, shrubs and rare species will be individually priced.

This is a non-profit fund raiser, and proceeds from the sales benefit the Daniel Boone Native Gardens and the NC Native Plant Society.

A second Native Plant Sale will be held Saturday June 26.

The Blue Ridge Chapter of the North Carolina Native Plant Society serves Watauga, Ashe, Avery, Alleghany, Wilkes, Caldwell, and Burke Counties.
