High Country United Way has received $37,000 dollars from Publix.

At a presentation ceremony Tuesday at the Publix Store at Three Creeks, Fred Phol, Chairman of the High Country United Way Board of Commissioners thanked Publix and Store Manager Joel Wise for the generous gift, saying he wished everyone could see where the money goes, and the people that it helps, and said he was grateful for the efforts of management and employees.

Wise said that Publix is committed to supporting the communities where they do business, saying part of its mission is to be is being responsible citizens in the community and "we live and breath that everyday in the stores." 

Phol said the Publix Associates campaign and Charitable Foundation partial match contribution combined is  the largest single contributor to the High Country United Way annual campaign.
