Kannapolis Ends Hickory's winning Streak

What was billed as a battle of staff aces between the Hickory Crawdads and Kannapolis Intimidators, instead turned into a small ball demonstration by Kannapolis. Cougars Advance To State Finals

The Alexander Central High softball team snapped a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning and defeated Southeast Guilford 4-2 Friday night to win the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Class 4A western championship in a two-game sweep. Hall Named To SE Region Gold Glove Team

Lenoir-Rhyne's Dalton Hall has earned 2013 NCAA Division II ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove First-Team honors for the Southeast Region. ABCA is the American Baseball Coaches Association. Hall, a senior shortstop from Hickory, N.C., compiled a .962 fielding percentage this season and was a Gold Glove honoree for the South Atlantic
