Robert (Bob) E. Triplette

Robert (Bob) E. Triplette of Linville, NC and Ft. Myers, FL died peacefully February 7 at Joanne's House At Hope Hospice, Bonita Springs, FL after a long battle with cancer.  Bob was born December 1, 1936.


 

His memory is cherished by members of his family - spouse, Betty, children: Mrs. Johnny Capps (Gweenda) Rockingham, NC; Mrs. Jimmy Flanagan (Phyllis) Raleigh, NC and Ryan Triplette (Cheryl) Hudson, NC; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Bob enjoyed reading and his computer.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

Sincere thanks to Dr. Sobol, Selby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center, Boone, NC and Dr. Rubin, Florida Cancer Specialist, Bonita Springs, FL.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial Pkwy, Bonita Springs, FL  34135. 

A private service for the family will be at a later date.

  • Ashe County Schools WILL OPERATE on a 3-hour delay on Thursday, with limited bus routes
  • Avery County Schools will be closed, staff reports on a two hour delay
  • Lees-McRae College opens at 9:30
  • Mitchell County Schools closed
  • St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Thursday morning mass and confession has been canceled
  • Watauga County Criminal District Court will open at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
  • Watauga County Schools closed Wednesday, with teachers on an optional work day. The Snow Day program at Hardin Park will open at 9am

  • Watauga County District Criminal Court has been canceled on Wednesday February 10, 2016. All parties need to be in contact with their attorneys.
  • Watauga County Project on Aging will not have congregate meals, home delivered meals, or transportation.
  • Watauga County Public Library in Boone will be closing today at 5pm
  • Willow Valley Baptist Church in Vilas will have NO services tonight and will only have an 11 am service on Sunday, Feb. 14th
