Boone Police filed a number of charges against a Boone man after he crashed his 2002 Ford Explorer into mailboxes in front of the Shops of Shadowline Friday morning, then drove down the sidewalk a distance, running into and over ad displays, planters, and the like before exiting the sidewalk in front of the Rite Aid Pharmacy.  Witness gave police a description of the vehicle and driver, who was found a short distance away, pulling metal out of the front of the vehicle.  Police charged 43-year old Christian Leigh Auren with Hit and Run with Property Damage, Failure to Reduce Speed, Driving While License Revoked, and Driving While Impaired.  The Sorrento Drive Boone man was set $1000 bond on the charges with an August 20th court date.
