Sugar Grove Search Leads to Two Drug Arrests PDF Print

Last Tuesday, narcotics detectives from the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations conducted a search of a residence at 755 Peoria Road, Sugar Grove, during the course of an investigation involving the sale and distribution of Methamphetamine.  During that search, detectives report finding methamphetamine, paraphernalia, 5 marijuana plants, and a firearm.  With one of the occupants of the residence a convicted felon, James Arthur Moore, 33, of the Peoria Road address, was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, then he and Mickey Denyse Tobiassen (Taylor), 34, also of 755 Peoria Road, were charged with Possession of  Methamphetamine, Manufacture of Marijuana, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, and Possession Drug Paraphernalia.  Moore and Tobiassen are currently being held at the Watauga County Detention Facility, Moore in lieu of a $25,000 secured bond, Tobiassen under a $10,000 secured bond, and both are scheduled to appear in District Court on July 29th.
