Family From Boone Hurt in Ga Crash PDF Print

Reports are saying that a 10-year-old boy from Boone is in serious condition at a Georgia hospital after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Georgia early yesterday that injured four other family members. 10-year-old Galen Miller was listed in serious condition at the Savannah hospital, his mother, Sarah Miller, and Mary Hicks are in stable condition, according to the various news reports.  Also hurt was Galen's eight-year-old sister Sidra and six-year-old brother Caspian, but sources say they were also treated for their injuries at the hospital but have since been released.
Authorities say 83-year-old Virgil Hicks and 82-year-old Mary Hicks, of Statesboro, Georgia, were traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway and collided with an SUV carrying members of the Miller family late Thursday morning. Investigating officers say Hicks turned his 2007 Buick Lucerne left across the freeway trying to get to an exit and collided with a Honda Pilot at the entry to the ramp. All seven people in the two vehicles were hurt. Police say Virgil Hicks is in critical condition at a Savannah hospital.
