Bobcats Coast Past Tigers, 95-31

Five players scored in double figures to lead the Lees-McRae College women's basketball team to a 95-31 win over visiting Hiwassee College on Monday evening in Williams Gymnasium.
Lees-McRae (2-0) shot 52.1 percent from the floor, including a 54.3 percent clip in the second half, while limiting Hiwassee (2-2) to a 22.6 percent mark from the field on the evening. The Bobcats won the battle on the glass by a 55-27 margin, including a 40-22 advantage on the defensive boards, while converting 29 Tiger turnovers into 36 points.
Paige Whitaker (Harrisburg, N.C.) and Icey Patterson (Seneca, S.C.) paced the Bobcats with 12 points each,
