LRU Volleyball Falls To Tusculum In Three Sets

The Tusculum College Volleyball Team (10-3, 3-2) swept Lenoir-Rhyne University (7-5, 2-2), 3-0, Tuesday night in a South Atlantic Conference match at Pioneer Arena.  Tusculum defeated L-R by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-19.

After a weather delay on Tuesday morning, Appalachian State University women’s golf completed the final round of the Great Smokies Intercollegiate to place 16th at the event. The Mountaineers carded a 303-305=608 (+32).

After a sluggish start on Saturday, the Watauga Storm girls 14U Softball team erupted for 31 hits and 19 runs over two games to win the Top Gun “Winter Nationals NIT” in Huntersville. As champions, the Storm finished the tournament with a record of 4-1.

Hauck Named SAC Player Of The Week

Lenoir-Rhyne University's Catherine Hauck (Lake Mary, Fla.) has been named the South Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player Of The Week, league officials announced today.
Hauck, a senior All-American midfielder, led L-R to a pair of victories over Belmont Abbey (4-1) and Anderson (1-0) last Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.
