Crawdads swat Sand Gnats, 9-1

The Hickory Crawdads topped the Savannah Sand Gnats, 9-1, before 555 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Monday night.  2B Odubel Herrera helped lead the offense with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, including two doubles, three RBIs and one run scored.

Tourists Sweep Crawdads

After the Hickory Crawdads won the first two games of the series, the Asheville Tourists responded with consecutive victories in Sunday's doubleheader -- 8-3 in Game 1 and 3-2 in Game 2 -- before 1,313 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium.  Both games went the regulation seven innings for a doubleheader.
