BOONE - The Watauga High football team continued its torrid pace
Friday night with a 55-21 win against Avery in a non-conference game
at Jack Groce Stadium.

BOONE - The Watauga High football team resembled a buffalo stampded last Friday night against Ashe County. The Pioneers racked up a school record 704 yards, including 691 on the ground, and they scored a school record 78 points in a 30 point romp against the Huskies.

Watauga High Tennis at Maiden Thursday was rained out. The match will not be rescheduled....WHS girl's golf with Ashe County at the Boone Golf Club Thursday was rained out and will hopefully be rescheduled at a later date.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Appalachian State came up the bounce of the football from upsetting 100,000-plus fans again.
