Post 29 Falls To Cherryville At State

The Caldwell County Post 29 American Legion baseball team saw its season come to an end Saturday afternoon. Post 29 (28-10) dropped a 5-1 decision to Cherryville Post 100 in an elimination game in the American Legion State Tournament at MS Deal Stadium in Granite Falls. Despite the loss, Post 29 finishes among the top four teams in the state.

NCAA Reviewing Eligibility Of N.C. State’s Purvis

North Carolina State freshman guard Rodney Purvis will not accompany the Wolfpack for its exhibition trip to Spain because the NCAA is still reviewing his eligibility. N.C.
