Cobb Named Southeast A.D. of the Year

Appalachian State University director of athletics Charlie Cobb has been named the 2010-11 NCAA Division I FCS Southeast Region Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced on Monday.

Crawdads Sweep SAL Weekly Awards

The South Atlantic League announced Monday that the Hickory Crawdads, Class A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers, have won both of the SAL Weekly Awards for the week of June 6 - 12, becoming the first team to win both awards in the same week since the Charleston RiverDogs in 2009.

'Dads rally in 9th, beat Legends 8-7
