TALLAHASSEE --- Michael Busch broke up a no-hitter with a game-tying single in the ninth and No. 7 North Carolina scored three times in the 11th to stun No. 8 Florida State 5-2 Saturday night at Dick Howser Stadium. FSU's Tyler Holton pitched seven innings with allowing a hit or a run but the Tar Heels scored five unearned runs off Drew Carlton to secure their second straight series win in Tallahassee.

Baseball Rallies Back in Thriller, Takes Series 2-1

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With no shortage of drama on Saturday, Appalachian State University baseball came back from a 1-0 deficit in the series to win both Games Two and Three in the doubleheader against Little Rock. 

The Mountaineers (12-16, 3-6 Sun Belt) won out a tight race in the first of two on the day, 3-2, before having to rally back from a 6-3 Trojan (10-18, 3-6 Sun Belt) lead in the sixth to win 7-6 and secure their first conference series win of the year.

BOONE - Gracie Proffitt and Julia Parsons each had a three-runner homer as the Watauga High softball team snapped its two-game losing sreak by downing West Caldwell 8-6 Saturday afternoon at the WHS Softball Complex.
