It's been quite a journey for North Davidson High senior Josh Roberson. Roberson, a right hander, who suffered a huge loss when his mother passed away during the state playoffs last season, threw a gem against Watauga (2-1) Wednesday afternoon.

Costly errors in the first inning really put the Watauga High softball team in a huge hole. East Wilkes scored seven times in the first inning--- only one of those runs were earned---as the Cardinals defeated the Pioneers 12-2 in Rhonda, N.C. The game was called after 4 1/2 innings due to the ten-run mercy rule.
