Tar Heels Ink Nineteen On National Signing Day....CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora signed 19 students to football National Letters of Intent Wednesday.

BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University football officially completed its class of 24 newcomers on Wednesday’s National Signing Day. The class of 23 includes two student-athletes that are already enrolled at Appalachian State and 22 that signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday to attend Appalachian in the fall.

Bears Split Season-Opening Doubleheader....Asheboro, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne baseball team (1-1) opened the 2016 season with a doubleheader split with Barton (1-1) Tuesday afternoon at McCrary Park. The Bears won the first game by a 5-2 score while the Bulldogs took the nightcap, 6-1.
