Hickory, NC - The Hickory Crawdads spotted the Hagerstown Suns an early 4-0 lead before they came charging back to win 7-5 Sunday night at L.P. Frans Stadium. The win gives the 'Dads a series split against the first place Suns, drawing Hickory to within 2.5 games of the South Atlantic League Northern Division lead.

Banks, Anderson to Join Football Radio Broadcast....BOONE, N.C. — Former Appalachian State University football student-athletes Pierre Banks and Karl Anderson will join Appalachian State University football radio broadcasts.  Banks will serve as the analyst and Anderson will serve as the sideline reporter for the Appalachian IMG Sports Network, announced by director of athletics Doug Gillin on Friday.

Frans Stadium has been suspended due to rain, with the 'Dads trailing the Suns 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning. The game will resume on Saturday, July 30th at 2:00 pm, and will be followed by the night's regularly scheduled contest.
