Bumgarner Wins Third Straight

Madison Bumgarner just keeps rolling along. The Hickory, N.C., native, who attended South Caldwell High School, won his third consecutive start Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Il. The Giants (8-4), thanks to Bumgarner, who allowed two earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts, defeated the Chicago Cubs, 3-2. Full Story

Pioneers Compete At Taco Bell

Appalachian State University softball split its doubleheader against Southern Conference foe UNC Greensboro Saturday afternoon at UNCG Softball Stadium.
