It sure was for freshman Nick Williams. Williams, who graduated from Watauga High last spring and is the Pioneers' all-time leading scorer with 104 goals (a school record in just two years), including a school-record 67 his senior year, picked up right where he left off at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, W.V.

Tom Eanes, who has been at Wilmington-Ashley High since 2011, has been named the new football coach at Morgaton-Patton. He replaces Joe Glass, who resigned after two years to become the new football coach at Concord-Robinson.
