The Lenoir-Rhyne Mens' basketball team fell to the University of Tennessee by a 77-49 score in an exhibition game Saturday night to kick off the 2014-15 season at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The CCCTI womens' basketball team picked up its first win of the year Saturday with a 79-64 win over Barbara Scotia College.

Maryah Sydnor scored 21 points in Appalachian State's exhibition game against Lees-McRae. The App State womens' basketball team rolled to an easy win, 95-46 at the Holmes Center.

The third-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne football team (10-0) continued its march to an undefeated regular season with a 42-7 victory over Alderson Broaddus (6-4) Saturday afternoon at the Multi-Sport Performance Complex.

Both the Lenoir-Rhyne mens' and womens' cross country teams both finished fourth overall at the 2014 South Atlantic Conference Championships Saturday morning at Salisbury Community Park.
