Watauga High Athletic Director Tom Wright has announced that today's lacrosse match between the Pioneers and Lake Norman Charter has been postponed. No make up date has been announced. The WHS boys are scheduled to play at Charlotte-Ardrey Kell next Saturday, March 15.

The Ashe County High basketball had eight players to the Mountain Valley Conference 1A/2A All-Conference Team. Senior Devan Sheets and junior Bradley Lucas earned all-conference honors Cullen Ashley and Conner Bowers were named Honorable Mention.

Eight members of the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Teams earned 2014 USTFCCCA All-Southeast Region Honors. USTFCCCA is the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Lees-McRae senior Katelin Rooney and sophomore Taylor Drake combined for nine goals while LMC cranked out 40 shots in a 16-7 nonconference win against Walsh on a blustery Thursday afternoon at Tate Field in Banner Elk, N.C.
