The Lenoir-Rhyne University womens' soccer team (15-3-1) posted its 11th straight win by knocking off Anderson 3-1 in the opening round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Tuesday night.

Junior Mallory Overholt of the Lees McRae College womens' soccer team scored the biggest goal of the season, so far, as she connected on a 30-yard blast in sudden death overtime.

Appalachian State University mens' soccer players Stephen Chapman (Greensboro, N.C./Northwest Guilford) and Patrick Harrow (Davidson, N.C./North Mecklenburg) have been named Sun Belt Conference Players of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The Appalachian State University mens' golf team closed out the fall schedule with a 19th-place finish at the Wendy’s Kiawah Classic on Tuesday. The tournament was held at the par-72, 7,100 yard Turtle Point Golf Course. The Mountaineers had a 307 in the final round, and they were 67-over with a 931 for the tournament.

Fourteen Lees-McRae College student-athletes were named to the Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Soccer Academic All-Conference teams, the league announced.
