It took a bit, but the Watauga High boys' lacrosse team finally cracked the win column by knocking off Morganton-Patton 15-4 Monday night on the road.

The Appalachian State University women’s golf team shot a 36-over-par 324 in the final round of Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate on Monday to finish ninth on the par-72, 6,010 yard Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club in Morganton, N.C.

Jazmine Charles has been named to the 2013-14 Division II Bulletin All-American Women's Basketball Third Team. Charles, a junior guard from Lexington, N.C., earned her second AA honor this month after being named to the NCAA D-II Daktronics All-American Third Team last Monday.
