SAWMILLS, NC - Watauga High junior Madi Darner and senior Karson Hamrick took matters into their how hands Friday night as the Pioneers rallied for a 57-44 win against South Caldwell on the road. Darner finished with a season-high 24 points. Hamrick had 16. And those two teamed up on a 10-0 run that broke South Caldwell's back in the fourth quarter. App Drops a Hard-Fought 5-3 Battle to Jacksonville....JACKSONVILLE, FLA.  – Appalachian State University softball dropped a 5-3 nail-biter to Jacksonville University in extra innings on Friday night at the Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex. App State held the lead at the bottom of the ninth until the Dolphins hit a walk-off homer to take the win.
