The Watuaga High girls' golf team turned in a third-place finish at a Northwestern 3A-4A Conference meet Tuesday at Orchard Hills Golf Club in Granite Falls, N.C.

Three Lees-McRae women's volleyball players registered at least seven kills while LMC swept Pfeiffer, 25-18, 25-19, 25-16 to win its Conference Carolinas and home opener Tuesday evening in Williams Gymnasium in Banner Elk, N.C.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Soccer Team (2-2-1) picked up its second straight win Tuesday night with a 2-1 victory over Belmont Abbey (1-2-2) in a non-conference match at the Moretz Sports - Athletic Complex. The match was delayed an hour due to lightning.
