Watauga High Middle School Athletic Director Jim Godwin has announced that workouts for eighth grade boys interested in playing football at Watauga High next fall officially begin on Tuesday, April 29 at the high school. The workout program will last three weeks. The program concludes on Thursday, May 22nd.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Golf Teams stand in 11th and 10th place, respectively, after the second round Monday of the 2014 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championship at the Sevierville Golf Club.

Watauga High boys' golf coach Mike Northern has announced that the "Old Mountain Mashie" tournament scheduled to be played at the Boone Golf Club today has been rained out and rescheduled for Thursday, May 1.

The Hickory Crawdads April 14th game against the Kannapolis Intimidators has been postponed due to rain. The contest will be made up on Tuesday, April 15th as part of a doubleheader starting at 4:00 p.m.
